OVERVIEW

The Cedar Grove Office of Oostburg State Bank is the first satellite office venture for this well-established local institution. The owner requested that the new office be aesthetically related to the current bank headquarters to reinforce their brand. As a result, the new branch shows the influence of the original bank building in some design and material decisions, while still displaying its own distinct personality.

Stone panels in a taupe palette on the exterior echo those on the main bank building, as do several full-height window walls. Inside, Craftsman-inspired details add warmth and character. Rich wood paneling defines the teller stations, and matching woodwork highlights the coffered ceiling and frames the clerestory windows around its perimeter. A leaf-patterned copper laminate introduces a natural element and also mimics copper features in the main bank building.

Glass-fronted offices surround the central lobby, painted in shades of green, and terra cotta walls at the back of the offices add dimension to the interior of the branch. Porcelain tile finishes the floors of the lobby, carpeting in the offices, and cork flooring along the teller line for comfort.

The building occupies a prominent main street location and is configured for high visibility and efficient traffic circulation. The bank provides all of the facilities necessary for modern lobby and drive-up banking services, in a comfortable and inviting environment that remains true to the brand.
